Our Volunteers Are a World Themselves

Visitors to Menlo Park Volunteer at Peninsula Volunteers, Inc.

Rei Fujita of Japan and Mary Hyodo McCracken of Canada connect while volunteering at Little House, The Roslyn G. Morris Activity Center. Rei, a student at Language Pacifica ESL Language School in Menlo Park, wanted to incorporate volunteer work into her schedule while studying English. Mary, a second generation Japanese Canadian, is an active volunteer at home and even when she visits friends on the Peninsula. Both women enjoyed helping out the Community Volunteer Program office while practicing their second languages.  Thank you Rei and Mary for volunteering!
